Field of Flowers (1910) by Egon Schiele.
Egon Schiele is best known for his intense self portraits and pathos-ridden images of the human body. His landscapes are less well known, although I personally think they should be given due attention as well. If his figural works are striking in the way they merge eroticism with ghastliness and death, his drawings and paintings of nature seem to convey the beauty of decay.
